Verdant Cosmetics begins in the red volcanic soil of Cherry Creek, Queensland a fertile plateau in the Darling Downs region with a unique microclimate shaped by altitude, humidity, and abundant sunshine.
The combination of mineral-rich volcanic earth and subtropical exposure allows our fruit to develop elevated levels of natural oils, including plant-based squalane a lipid known for supporting skin hydration, elasticity, and protection against environmental stress.
Every drop of avocado oil in our products comes from trees grown and harvested on this farm.
Farming for the Future
Cherry Creek Estate operates under a long-term vision: to secure a productive, healthy future for the next generation of farmers. This means farming with longevity in mind using innovation and technology to protect the land while maximising its output.
They are transitioning to carbon neutrality through 100+ megawatt solar systems that power our operations. Electric tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles replace fossil fuel equipment. Energy is generated on-site, reducing reliance on external grids and lowering emissions.

Zero Waste, From Orchard to Output
Nothing is discarded without purpose, they recycle orchard wood into mulch and repurpose cow manure as natural fertiliser.
They reuse avocado byproducts. The protein-rich pulp left after cold pressing is used to supplement cattle feed, and wastewater supports paddock rehabilitation.
Their no-food-waste policy ensures every molecule of organic matter is utilised, either as compost or in bio-fuel systems.
They are progressing toward full-cycle operations where every output becomes an input.

We protect native pollinators by maintaining diverse plant life across the estate. Lavender, tea trees, and native flora provide year-round food sources for honey bees and native insects essential for avocado pollination and long-term orchard health.
